11 days of flood in Hagonoy

Have you ever experience being in a flooded area for almost 11 days? Well, I do! It was a nightmare but we can’t do anything about it if that’s nature’s will. The flood reached our house waist-deep but thank God we have 2nd floor at home. I’m used to seeing flood around our place but with this one, it was my first time to experience that high level of flood. Screw the management of the dams here in Central Luzon for releasing water without any notification! That flood forced us to eat canned goods and processed foods like chicken nuggets and tocino. LOL. Oh well, I better stop complaining and just be thankful that we’re all safe now.

Receiving relief goods

During the flood, we all know that being in a high level of flood we tend to be dependent to relief goods given by some organizations may it be from the government or non-government because you seldom find people selling fresh meat and vegetables, and of course, only a few markets are open. We were one of the lucky recipients of relief goods here in our place. It was given by our district governor and vice-governor. Though it was just good for a day or two, we’re still fortunate enough that we have food on hand.
